Short description:
«The archive consists of 250 documents, issued in different years (the earliest document was issued in 1905, the latest one – in 1943) to Karl Chaim, Marie, Rella (Aurelie) Fani and Paula Rudich and of photographs, pictures, some personal belongings.
The archive contains different kinds of documents: cards of identity, membership, armed forces, certificates, school reports, receipts, insurance contracts, securities, various proofs, diplomas, business letters, certificates from doctors, notes of receiving money and property, draftsmanship, plans-schemes etc.

Languages: German, Romanian.
Condition: good and satisfactory.


Notes:
Besides documents of the Rudich family the archive contains also individual documents of Norbert Fischer and Lotti Harnik. Their connection to the Rudich family is not established.
The archive was found a few years ago in Chernivtsi at the attic of a building during repairs. It is unique, very important and desirable for the museum since it provides us with an opportunity to trace life of an average-income Bukovinian Jewish family during the first half of the 20th century.
